Incredible Oscar winning actress Cate Blanchett appears as you’ve never seen her before in this fantastical shoot for AnOther magazine by Willy Vanderperre.Cate Blanchett is not just a unique beauty, she is also a real chameleon. In this cover story for AnOther Magazine, styled by Oliver Rizzo, her character is inspired by a fusion of figures from Berlin’s bohemian history: the legendary Anita Berber, 30s cabaret dancers and contemporary performance artists.

Against the clean, sophisticated backdrop of a blackout studio, Cate looks in turn striking, expressive and haunting in front of Willy Vanderperre’s lens. The dramatic tension in the images is accentuated by the vivid colours of the clothes she wears. Reclining in the field of flowers we created in the studio, she changes again, becoming the epitome of feminine beauty, at once sensuous and a little bit unsettling.  This was an unforgettable photoshoot, brining to life images that make you stop in your tracks. None other than Cate, Willy and Oliver could make it happen.
