Since 2002 Chanel has expanded to include a collection, Métiers d’Art, halfway between couture and ready-to-wear, that incorporates the work of Europe’s most cherished artisans. To show each new line, Lagerfeld chooses a location that has played a major role in the history of the company. For 2015 he put the spotlight on Salzburg, Austria. This shoot by Sebastian Faena combines Habsburgian opulence and classically elegant and outlandish baroque decor with striking Chanel designs. An inspirational editorial for Vanity Fair.
